About Euan Morton
Early Life & Training
Born in Falkirk, Scotland, Morton discovered his passion for performance through the Falkirk Children's Theatre. His formative years at Bo'ness Academy shaped his artistic foundation. At age 17, he made the decision to leave Scotland for London, where he trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
The Boy George Breakthrough
In 2002, Morton originated the role of Boy George in Taboo, performing first in London's West End and later on Broadway. The role brought him international attention and earned him several major nominations, including a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical.

Transformative Roles
In 2016-2017, he took on the role of Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch during the US national tour, performing the gender-fluid rock character across multiple cities. His performance earned him an IRNE Award nomination for Best Visiting Actor.
This tour led to his next major role: from July 2017 to September 2023, Morton played King George III in Hamilton, becoming the longest-serving actor in this role. Over six years at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, he performed the character over 1,800 times, bringing both gravitas and humor to the British monarch.
