Euan has always been committed to sharing his professional skills and experience, and regularly directs master classes, workshops and seminars on the performing arts. Below are some of the art centres, schools and universities where he has been invited as a professional teaching artist in the last 2 years.
The Reston Community Center provides a broad range of programs in arts, aquatics, enrichment and life-long learning. The award-winning Reston Community Players present four stage productions annually in the high-tech theater at Hunters Woods.
On June 4th 2007 Euan conducted a
Musical Theatre Audition Workshop
and Master Class with both adults and students.
Westfield High School opened its doors in September of 2000 as the 24th high school in Fairfax County. The school was listed as the 46th best high school in America by Newsweek magazine in 2002 and 27th in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area by The Washington Post in 2006 due to a high percentage of students enrolled in Westfield's Advanced Placement (AP) classes.
On
May 18th 2007 Euan performed a concert for students that he previously worked with in a master class. He has visited the school several times working with their arts, choral and theatre students.
Richwoods High School, which was opened in 1957, is found on the north side of the city of Peoria in central Illinois. It is the largest of the four Peoria School District 150 high schools. Richwoods has a long history of excellence in academics, athletics and in providing service to the community. Included in offerings at Richwoods are an International Baccalaureate degree programme, a Health/Science Academy, a television and communications studio, special education programmes, technology prep, arts, and various school-business partnership programmes.
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is America's National Cultural Center. Located in Washington, DC, the Kennedy Center presents the latest musical and theatrical productions, jazz concerts, and family performances. It is the nation's busiest performing arts center, hosting approximately 3,000 events each year for audiences numbering more than 2 million.
On June 26th 2006 Euan did a master class as part of the Overtures programme, is an educational outreach programme of Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA.
Robinson Secondary School, which opened in 1971, is the largest public school in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The school is administered by the Fairfax County Public Schools. Robinson offers the International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement programmes and currently enrolls over 4000 students in grades 7-12, about 700 per grade.
The Theatre Arts Department provides quality training in a modified conservatory environment for undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing careers as professional theatre practitioners, high school drama coaches, college and university instructors of design—scenic, costume, lighting--and technical theatre and stage management. It offers a BA Degree in General Theatre Studies, a BFA Degree that allows students to specialize in Acting, Design (Scenic, Costume, Lighting), and Advanced Theatre Practice and Stage Management, and Theatre Education.
Utah State Theatre, the designation for the department’s theatre production programme, produces four mainstage plays each year: a musical, a classical play, a contemporary piece, and a work from the modern canon.
ArtSpeak! is a programme that brings artists from Broadway and around the country into schools. Each artist talks about his or her career, answers questions from the audience, performs, and signs autographs. It allows students to learn from and ask questions of some of the leading actors in the world. Performances are free. This program is underwritten by a corporate grant from Shugoll Research.
Euan took part in ArtSpeak! at Poe Middle School, (Annandale, VA) on April 5th 2006.
The Mckechnie School of Dance has been established since 1962. Students take part in Highland and stage dance championships worldwide. Since 1962 a constant, steady flow of trophies and championship titles have been won.
Many members of the school have danced for the Queen, Princess Anne, Princess Diana, on Sky Television, Hamden Park, BBC1, The Olympic Games and more recently starred in Glasgow's Clyde auditorium and SECC.
The school has received many certificates of excellent technique throughout examinations.
